You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNCOLOGY SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT/NETWORK) with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS)
All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties
You will work with IT stakeholders to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, and satisfy their expectations.
You will perform a broad range of IT support tasks associated with the management of computer systems and networks.
You will serve as the technical expert and work independently integrating/implementing IT systems and networks, then troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with those IT systems and networks when issues occur.
You will identify problems, gather accurate and relevant data, and use sound judgment to generate and/or evaluate alternatives and make recommendations.
You will facilitate communication providing timely, clear, and accurate oral and written statuses to stakeholders.
You will comply with all DoD cybersecurity and security standards, such as Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), DON directives and policies.
You will resolve customer issues, installing new systems, refreshing systems, maintaining systems and networks, and maintaining the required cybersecurity posture. analysis and conducting information management studies
Requirements

- This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/CSWF position in specialty areas 411 and 441.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience ensuring compliance with all DoD cybersecurity and security standards, such as Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), DON directives and policies, local policies and procedures, and industry best business practices, as applicable to the NCIS IT infrastructure, including applications, database systems, and operating platforms in the delivery of planning and management of enterprise services.
