You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS/NETWORK) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.
Duties
You will serve as the Network Operations Manager, providing planning, installation, and management of all networks and systems.
You will analyze requirements and develop, recommend, and deploy network services.
You will evaluate new systems engineering technologies and their effect on the operating environment.
You will collect and analyze performance data on operational systems, develop trend predictions, and recommend changes to ensure the system performs correctly.
You will recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with IT/Security policies.
You will supervise System Administrators, Network Engineers, and Desktop Support Technicians.
You will assign tasks to subordinates based on priority, difficulty, and requirements of the assignment.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 46 within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You must be able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 50 pounds in weight.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing Information Technology (IT) concepts, principles, or methods to analyze requirements for the planning, installation, and management of networks and systems to ensure availability and effective performance. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
