Duties
Serves as the DLA Disposition Services Readiness Branch Chief and primary technical advisor of the readiness and Mobilization Programs.
Provides direction of plan development and implementation including various reporting requirements.
Advises on courses of action (COA), plans to implement and coordinate and reports on status of plans, actions and operations.
Reviews and analyzes raw data and troop movement information from the Global Command Control System (GCCS) to advise anticipated requirements and to prepare the organization to respond to rapid workload shifts.
Resolves complex problems, develops new tactics, techniques and procedures and standard operation procedures.
Plans, directs, organizes, synchronizes and reports on Expeditionary Civilian, Ready Reserve Force, Expeditionary Training, Readiness, Combatant Command Planning and Mission Assurance Programs.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Mobilization Program Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Planning, organizing, synchronizing, and reporting on Expeditionary Civilian, Ready Reserve Force, Expeditionary Training, Readiness, Combatant Command Planning, and Mission Assurance Programs.
Developing and reviewing plans in support of Combatant Command numbered plans and problem sets.
Determining staff training requirements to ensure adequate manning, training and equipment to support Combatant Command requirements.
Serving as the organization's office of primary responsibility (OPR) for readiness and mobilization issues.
Planning, programing, and budgeting for exercises to develop and/or assess expeditionary capabilities.
Developing detailed readiness program plans to respond to operational war emergencies, civil defense plans, and disaster relief assistance requests.
Serving as project officer responsible for developing support strategies and concepts of operations (CONOPS) for potential or newly identified missions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
