About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Security Specialist at the Operations Directorate-Information Operations Division in Miami, Florida.
Duties
Ensure security operations are in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Coordinate web security programs for leadership throughout the organization.
Conduct assessments regarding security operation procedures to ensure proper processes are being adhered to by personnel.
Recommend courses of actions to protect sensitive unclassified information.
Conduct information operations planning.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.
- Position is designated Critical-Sensitive (5) requiring a TOP SECRET Special Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with Special Access Programs requirements.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse prevention and control program.
- The applicant is required to sign a DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Position identified as critical under the drug abuse-testing program).
- Must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Work requires some travel and irregular hours both on short notice.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Establish budget requirements to support security operations training efforts; 2). Determine operational security vulnerabilities to implement countermeasures; and 3). Develop contingency exercise plans to respond to possible real life security operations crises.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above).
