About the Position: This position is with the HQ, Army Sustainment Command, Executive Directorate for Support Operations, Rock Island IL.
Duties
Conducts studies, reviews, analysis, and preparation of workload plans and monitors the Army's Readiness Model, field and sustainment maintenance, and wholesale to retail materiel management integration missions.
Assist in the integration and synchronization of maintenance programs performed by Installation Logistics Readiness Centers (LRC).
Provides assistance concerning logistical operations through analysis and evaluates logistics performance to detect developing trends and substandard performance of the programs studied.
Monitors maintenance operations of the LRCs, readiness of tactical units, identifies issues and trends, provides maintenance management data and reports, and recommends maintenance solutions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Temporary duty travel of up to 25% may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Perform integrated logistical duties to support various material management programs; Assist with the synchronization and monitoring of maintenance programs performed at other installations/sites; Analyze and evaluate logistics performance in order to identify negative trends or performance issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics, Supply, or other fields related to the position. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
