This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing.
Duties
As a Management Analyst, you will:
Define, plan, develop and implement administrative, personnel, controls, work methods and procedures for PIH HQ and field organizations nationwide.
Perform on-going evaluations of various components of PIH's HQ and field organizations nationwide resulting in improvement recommendations for operating efficiency and effectiveness.
Prepare, analyze, evaluate and recommend resource studies and needs.
Serve as an expert and primary representative to the Director, Administrative Services Division, in all administrative matters.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Performing analytical studies and projects; AND
- Conducting studies and recommending changes or improvements in administrative policies and regulations; AND
- Developing new or modifying program policies, regulations, goals or objectives; AND
- Providing assistance and support to an organization and high-level managers on workforce management matters; AND
- Preparing reports and briefing supervisors, management and staff on workforce management issues.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
