You will serve as a Program Manager in the Security Cooperation Program Office of NAVAL AIR SYSTEM COMMAND HQ-OSF.

Duties

You will participate with key personnel in the program office and the PEO who are responsible for defining the goals of the program, and works with them in preparing comprehensive program plans for accomplishing program goals and schedules. You will contribute to the determination of resource needs and allocation of resources (funding, manpower, facilities, etc.) for life-cycle management of the assigned program. You will analyze needs and synthesizes requirements information to develop requirements for program initiatives and plans. You will coordinate program efforts with other activities and personnel directly assigned or detailed to support the program. You will recommend to higher program authority the need to redirect efforts, to pursue additional lines of investigation and similar matters. You will serve as the central contact point within the program office for all matters concerning the assigned program.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing needs and synthesizing requirements information to develop requirements for program initiatives and plans. 2) Participating with key personnel in the program office who are responsible for defining the goals of the program and working with them in preparing comprehensive program plans for accomplishing program goals and schedules. 3) Directing the preparation of documents, specifications, requirements, criteria, and standards that define needs and parameters of the program. 4) Coordinating program efforts with other activities and personnel directly assigned or detailed to support the program. 5) Serving as the central contact point within the program office for all matters concerning the assigned program.
