The Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) mission is to accelerate the adoption of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) across the Department of Defense (DoD).
The DoD Combined Joint All Domain Command & Control (CJADC2) Office is responsible for advancing CJADC2 efforts and improving Decision Advantage to produce better and faster awareness and actions for Joint Force Commanders.

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:
Serves as the Lead Product Manager, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of Mission Command Application capabilities.
Provides management and advisory support to the CDAO CJADC2 Director and the Mission Application Lead with a focus on CJADC2 mission application deployment, interoperability, metrics-based experimentation, and the deployment of AI/ML-based technologies.
Provides direction to contract project managers, implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the management of multiple projects and mission application prototypes in support of the program.
Determines the affordability of the life cycle cost estimates of the competing alternatives including contractor in order to select the most promising system/equipment items.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A Special Background Investigation (SBI) is required with favorable adjudication by a determining authority.
- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel as needed by the position.
- This position may require occasional travel away from your normal duty station for official business on military or commercial aircraft.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
You may qualify at the GG-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG-13 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability planning, designing, and carrying out programs, projects, and other work independently; analyzing and evaluating programs, objectives, and issues; advising on administrative and information management matters, policies, practices, and procedures; and making recommendations for high level approval.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
