The Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) mission is to accelerate the adoption of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) across the Department of Defense (DoD). The DoD Combined Joint All Domain Command & Control (CJADC2) Office is responsible for advancing CJADC2 efforts and improving Decision Advantage to produce better and faster awareness and actions for Joint Force Commanders.

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as the Lead Product Manager, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of Mission Command Application capabilities. Provides management and advisory support to the CDAO CJADC2 Director and the Mission Application Lead with a focus on CJADC2 mission application deployment, interoperability, metrics-based experimentation, and the deployment of AI/ML-based technologies. Provides direction to contract project managers, implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the management of multiple projects and mission application prototypes in support of the program. Determines the affordability of the life cycle cost estimates of the competing alternatives including contractor in order to select the most promising system/equipment items.
