You will serve as a Special Operations Program Manager (SOCPAC) in the of COMMANDER, SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.90% will be added to the stated salary.

Duties

You will be responsible for the oversight and management of day-to-day operations and all assigned SOJ33 personnel. You will serve as the ACCM Lead Control Officer for SOCPAC. You will apply knowledge of SOF operations in planning, designing, coordinating, employment, and conclusion of projects at the component and theater level. You will provide operational oversight to the SOJ3 Divisions, SOCPAC Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and deployed JTFs, JSTOFs, SOTFs, PAT/SOLO Network in their day-to-day activities. You will serve as subject matter expert on the Operations and Orders Process to facilitate COMSOCPAC mission command and has working knowledge of the Joint Fires Process.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating significant understanding of the complexities of Joint SOF operations, capabilities and resourcing; 2) Demonstrating knowledge of threats in the Indo-Pacific region; 3) Providing program and policy planning and development support for special operations programs affecting theater-wide campaign activities; 4) Conducting analytical and evaluative reviews of theater operations and related activities to identify problems and recommend corrective action; 5) Understanding of Joint, Interagency, and foreign government coordination to enable operational-level planning; and 6) Demonstrating knowledge of managing a Joint Operations Center.
