Duties

Interface both internally and externally to assure the corporate effort will result in projects that meet the customers’ requirements. Maintain cognizance of all Programs and Project Management Division (PPMD) activities through conferences, meetings, correspondence, reports, and recommendations Advise the Director of Programs on general courses of action, implementation, and execution plans. Apply an extensive knowledge of management concepts, principles, methods, and practices for the agency. Establish policies and ensures compliance, directs improvements, and acts as liaison between subordinate supervisors and the Director of Programs. Provide leadership in establishing and maintaining effective management processes and a work environment conducive to effective integration. Participate with supervisor in formulating and implementing plans and goals to assure effectiveness and technical quality for District’s mission.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
  • Position may require TDY trips to the TAM Area of Operations OCONUS and within CONUS approximately 25% of the time.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining cognizance of all Programs and Project Management Division (PPMD) activities through conferences, meetings, correspondence, reports, and recommendations; approving internal policies and procedures to assure orderly, effective, and efficient accomplishment of assigned missions; applying an extensive knowledge of management concepts, principles, methods, and practices; establishing corporate goals on schedule, cost, scope, and quality; and overseeing the preparation of graphical representations, reports, and/or other narrative and statistical material used by the agency. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
