Position may be filled as a Temporary Promotion NTE 13-months by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
Manages a variety of special, one-of-a-kind world-wide construction programs/projects critical to the accomplishment of the Corps' mission.
Monitors the progress of priority and/or high visibility projects and keeps informed of progress through the review of reports, program documents, and other program material.
Provides program guidance for reasonableness of cost, conformance with criteria, and compliance with policies and procedures.
Ensures implementation of Programs Management policy according to ER 5-1-11 for assigned projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing a variety construction programs under diverse conditions; Assisting with establishing design, and construction management policies to facilitate implementation of construction program initiatives; Identifying and resolving problems related to design and construction delays, excessive costs, and other technical problems; and preparing design and construction program data for special studies, various presentations and other similar purposes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
