The Program Support Assistant (PSA) is assigned to Nursing/Patient Care Services under the direct supervision of the Associate Nurse Executive for Education. The PSA performs a variety of duties to support nursing education, nurse recruitment and contract agency computer privacy training and awareness.
Duties
Functions entail creation and maintenance of databases to support existing and new programs; assistance with coordinating the monthly, quarterly, and annual nursing education calendar; assisting with scheduling and facilitation of faculty and student orientation and affiliated agreements; Talent Management System administration; and purchase card holder duties.
Major duties include, but are not limited to:
Completion of quarterly and annual reports for Nursing Education programs.
Maintain PIV sponsor status supporting the timely provision of name badges to students, faculty, and agency staff.
Initiate and facilitate the contracting process for procurement of departmental goods and services as a Contracting Office Representative (COR).
Serves as the purchase card clerk for the National Nursing Employees Initiative (NNEI) and the Employee Initiative Scholarship Program (EISP) fund control points.
Maintains comprehensive databases detailing tuition and related cost payments, supporting documents and reconciliation records for multiple participants.
Serves as program clerk and assist with the management of multiple fund control points including payments, reconciliation and generating financial reports.
Assists in the hiring of program participants for the VALOR, PBNR and VANAP program.
Organizes the interview schedule and coordinates interview process.
Sponsors PIV cards for all new agency, student, faculty, and program participants.
Collects, compiles and tracks data and statistical information in support of nursing education.
Assist in planning, reviewing, and reporting of data and results regarding new employee orientation and contract agency nurse credentials.
Establishes procedures for incoming data, organizes computerized databases and retrieves computerized data.
Performs basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports.
Coordinates incoming data, reviews documents, reports, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate.
Enters pertinent information into an automated tracking system.
Maintains automated system track suspense dates pertaining to items such as CPR updates, credentialing updates and nursing vacancy announcements.
Work Schedule: 7:30AM - 4:00PM, Monday - Friday

Qualifications

You may qualify based on your experience and/or education s described below:
GS-05 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Property, equipment, and/or inventory management; providing administrative support and assistance in the procurement process; reviews and/or composes written correspondence. (NOTE: Qualifying experience must be clearly stated in your resume.)

GS-05: Substitution of Education for Experience (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED): Do you possess Four (4) years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
