This position is located in Region II, Division of Reactor Safety, Operations Branch 1.The supervisor is Thomas Stephen.This position is Bargaining Unit with the National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 208.

Duties
The successful candidate will serve as the Operator Licensing Assistant (OLA) with responsibility for the coordination of the licensed reactor operator administrative functions and technical issues associated with the operations branch.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
For GG-9: Experience initiating, coordinating, monitoring, reviewing, and/or processing technical correspondence, or other related documents and communications ensuring compliance with non-technical administrative aspects of rules, regulations, and procedures applicable to agency processes. This work was performed under close or general supervision. New and unusually difficult and complex assignments are referred to the supervisor or other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for guidance.
For GG-10: Experience initiating, coordinating, monitoring, reviewing, and/or processing technical correspondence, or other related documents and communications ensuring compliance with non-technical administrative aspects of rules, regulations, and procedures applicable to agency processes. This work is performed under moderate supervision.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Knowledge of regulations and rules associated with administrative programs and the ability to review, edit, and process all associated documents required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing and to deal tactfully, efficiently, and professionally with all levels of personnel.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in handling multiple assignments with competing priorities, often under considerable pressure to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in using word processing and computer systems (Microsoft Word, E-mail, ADAMS, office tracking systems, etc.) and ability to analyze and implement procedures to manage correspondence and information through automated means.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: Experience in obtaining and analyzing statistical and factual information from a variety of sources including computer databases and records information systems.
