You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the RADIAC SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NMC ORD SYS ENG MGMT.
Duties
You will report all RADIAC customer concerns to the RCL Supervisor.
You will maintain all equipment logs and records which include shipments, storage, maintenance and demilitarization records.
You will track all RADIAC movements; to include all radioactive sources listed on the Navy Radioactive Materials Permit (NRMP), while in OSEMD's custody.
You will specify storage and packing requirements for shipment of RADIAC equipment, to include those containing radioactive sources.
Requirements

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
*Experience with packaging concepts, and the principles and practice necessary to perform the full range of projects concerned with packaging, shipping, receipt, storage, and inventory of radioactive materials.
*Experience packaging requirements for different classes of radioactive material shipments.
*Experience with RADIAC systems and their intended end use requirements.
*Experience providing customer support services in a manner responsive to real world Fleet needs.
*Experience with the maintenance engineering program requirements pertinent to the development of scheduled maintenance.
