About the Position: Perform a variety of supply clerical duties; Purchase supplies for the organization through small purchase procedures using a government credit card; Monitors unit level property books; Perform general clerical duties; and operate motor vehicles (sedans, pickup trucks, 2-1/2ton truck, and vans) weighing up to 10,000 pounds to pick up, deliver and turn-in supplies and equipment.

Duties

Enter, correct and retrieve data from automated supply databases. Make additions and deletions to the hands receipt files as required. Order, receive, store, issue, replenish, turns-in and inventories supplies and equipment. Maintain warehouse accountability of all Central Issue Facility items.

Requirements

  • This position requires a Secret Clearance.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment physical examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical heal and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • The position is subject to provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban (Lautenberg Amendment). This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
  • This position requires overtime work, some working at night, working on weekends and holidays and may require the incumbent to work alternate or flexible work schedules in support of cyclic training schedules.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Advancement requirement to positions up to GS-05: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-05 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.
