About the Position: Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing the work of personnel engaged in field level maintenance to support the mission. Duties involve a variety of supply operations to include the receipt, issue, storage, and turn-in of repair parts using automated supply/maintenance management systems.
Duties
Serve as Supervisory Supply Technician for Fleet Management Expansion (FMX) responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing the work of supply management for maintenance operations procedures.
Establish, maintain, and revise stock objectives to achieve appropriate levels to support organizational supply missions.
Control assigned shop stocks to ensure adequate materials and supplies to meet supply demands.
Manage/Oversee the Recoverable Item Management (RIM) objectives for accountability for credits to meet establish policy guidance and Army Regulations.
Utilize Global Combat Support Systems Army (GCSS-A) in supply operations to include the receipt, issue, storage, and turn-in of repair parts.
Requisition, with subsequent follow-ups, to assure timely delivery of supplies while also maintaining stock levels at a minimal and cost-efficient level of excess.
Perform supervisory duties such as setting employee performance standards, evaluation, appraisals, counseling, disciplinary action, promoting employee participation in programs such as the suggestion program, cost reduction program, etc.
Coordinate and brief all internal/external actions for FMX Division Chief/Shop Officer to meet organization objectives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure (FD) Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). Executive Branch Personnel Confidential FD Report upon entering the position and annually, IAW DoD Directive 5500-7-R
- Subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban (Lautenberg Amendment). This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.

Specialized Experience for In-Service Employees: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) performing a wide range of supply operations to include requisitioning, receiving, reconciliation, inventory, and/or issuing/dispatching repair parts, maintenance equipment; and 2) using Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) or equivalent automated system in supply operations receipt, issuing, storage, and turn-in of repair parts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Specialized Experience for Outside Applicants: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) controlling assigned shop stocks by ensuring adequate materials/supplies to meet customer demands; 2) practicing supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific supply functions assigned; and 3) using Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) or equivalent automated system in supply operations receipt, issuing, storage, and turn-in of repair parts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
