Duties
Administers, plans, organizes, directs, monitors, controls and coordinates the logistical support of the Supply and Services Division.
Advises the USPFO on installation logistics and transportation status.
Coordinates supply and inventory management actions, location surveys, additions and deletions, transportation actions and documents, funding, and special purchases.
Receives fiscal information from each subordinate function and other agencies to review and submit budget requirements for the logistical portion of the state operating budget.
Administers and analyzes operational trends for effectiveness and efficiency.
Ensures compliance with the bulk and package Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL) quality surveillance program.
Determines installation requirements for accomplishing the handling of unusual requests, receipt, storage and disposition of large shipments, large items, hazardous cargo, precious metals and hazardous waste disposal.
Administers the USPFO transportation support functions, provides technical advice, establishes operating guidance and administers policies for transportation support for the state.
Performs the full range of supervisory personnel functions.
Attends conferences, workshops and meetings on matters of policy and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, training, or knowledge monitoring, recommending, and coordinating automation of logistical functions and programs. Analyzing and issuing directives and procedural instructions received from higher authority. Experience or knowledge formulating or approving operating procedures necessary to support the organization and the requirements of supported units and activities. Planning, recommending, developing and issuing approved policies affecting logistical support and operations. Collecting and consolidating data for areas in which operations are contemplated. Providing guidance on interpretation of directives and assists units, organizations, and activities in installation logistics and transportation matters. Experience and expertise to bring together the collection of knowledge, skills and abilities when functioning as a project team leader. Must have at least 12 months specialized equivalent experience to the next lower grade level. This includes experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

Education
You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-12. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
