Duties
The DOL manages a large wage grade work force located in maintenance shops throughout the state.
Plans for adequate supply and maintenance facilities and coordinates with the Facilities Manager concerning maintenance and refurbishment of the facilities.
Administers a maintenance program that involves a variety of facilities with varying levels and complexity of support capability to include Combined Support Maintenance Shops (CSMS) and Field Maintenance Shops (FMS).
Maintains oversight of the development and execution of the Maintenance Strategy Action Plan.
Coordinates and directs the State?s logistical support mission and administers the Command Supply Discipline Program.
Oversees and monitors planning and implementation of comprehensive logistics programs for sustainment of highly complex, fielded, or planned fielding of new systems, integrating separate functions into logistics activities needed to sustain fielding.
Responsible for logistical mobilization and readiness planning.
Supervises directorate through subordinate supervisors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in response to a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- The employee will be required to take a drug test.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 36 months experience, education, or training that includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. At least 12 months experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.

Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized - Experience Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
