You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Armament & Weapons Handling Support Equipment and Weapons Control Support Equipment Branch of the SE DEPT, NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIV, SE & ALRE GROUP, NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Duties

You will Serves as the technical authority in acquisition logistics and is responsible for the planning and execution of Life Cycle Sustainment Plans. You will review status of all current programs and the anticipated scope and complexity of new programs, making adjustments in assignments based on program evolution, with special emphasis on reducing life cycle cost. You will perform the total logistics support functions for state of the art SE programs with Navy-wide application that will establish planning criteria for future programs. You will prepare and present written and oral reports and briefs on assigned programs.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing, monitoring, evaluating and/or coordinating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for Aircraft Armament Equipment (AAE) related Weapons Control Support Equipment (WCSE). 2) Coordinate and manage teamwork activities in the development of logistics packages for Engineering Change Proposals, Technical Manual Validation/Verifications, and the release of Support Equipment Bulletins and Support Equipment Changes. 3) Develop logistics requirements for acquisition packages in support of the full life cycle configuration management of AAE WCSE. 4) Advising and briefing management on the development, implementation and sustainment of ILS objectives, projects and programs.
