Provide support to Audiology and Speech Pathology Service Office of the Chief staff specifically the Service Chief, Section Chief Audiologist, Supervisors, and Administrative Officer for Viera OPC, Lake Baldwin OPC and Lake Nona OPC.
Duties
Major duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for receipt and distribution of all mail and correspondence for the service ensuring items requiring follow up or actions are appropriately presented for completion.
Will draft Power point presentations, memos and reports required by the service.
Assist clinical management in the hiring process by completing HR paperwork, scheduling interviews and panels.
Support the services leadership team as requested for strategic planning, budgetary support data collection, and performance improvement projects.
Assist with the scheduling and monitoring of purchasing/procurement transactions for the full range of standard items and services to meet the service's needs.
Maintain the procurement/purchasing records and reports.
Monitor and control business papers, correspondence, and records, including the coordination of minutes, action items, and documents needed by the office of the Chief.
Obtain and monitor the use of services, supplies, and equipment.
Work Schedule: M-F 8 am-4:30 pm

Physical Requirements: The position is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; or driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service). Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: receiving and distributing mail and correspondence; drafting power point presentations; timekeeping; developing reports or tracking tools; serving as a liaison; scheduling meetings; monitoring and controlling business papers; obtaining and monitoring the use of services, supplies, and equipment.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 level.
