About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Maintains regular coordination with customers to facilitate continuous program/process improvements.
Supports the weapon system manager to develop and document the supply and maintenance strategy, in applicable documentation, in accordance with policy and regulatory guidance.
Supports the planning, development, implementation, and management of effective and affordable product support strategies for supply and maintenance throughout the life cycle for weapons, materiel or information systems.
Supports and addresses supply/maintenance planning impact to system cost, schedule, performance, life cycle management and supportability requirements in accordance with repair parts (Class II and IX) supply policy in support of sustainability goals.
Coordinates with sustainment teams and OIB operations teams to set conditions for effective program support for both new and ongoing requirements and independently performs program support activities.
Conducts regular and recurring assessments of repair programs to ensure on-time delivery of due-ins or prompt notification of delayed status items.
Tracks open deliveries and communicates between the stakeholders to facilitate proactive delivery status updates.
Facilitates program support activities to prevent or proactively resolve any delayed status for due-ins from the OIB.
Proactively communicates status of programs and delivery delays to appropriate stakeholders to facilitate decisions regarding supply posture, order release strategy, and readiness driver mitigation.
Provides advice and guidance to junior employees, keeps the Team Lead and Supervisor apprised of program status, and initiates escalation actions to leadership based on established business rules.
Contributes to the development of long-range and near-term OIB goals, metrics, and supply chain process performance targets.
Supports the development and implementation of outcome-based supply and maintenance support strategies that optimize supply chain management principles to enhance system readiness and life cycle cost affordability.
Supports working level commodity reviews and Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) meetings with other supply chain functions and sustainment teams to review supply plans, collect additional data, and assess performance.
Develops guides used by sourcing analysts or other staff personnel within the organization when guidelines for performing the work are scarce or of limited use.
Facilitates timely funding of OIB programs through close coordination with customers and G8 to include opening and tracking tickets for fiscal year completion.
Requirements

- One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management Advanced certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
Qualifications
The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12/13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (Acq Demo) position in the NH-03 broadband, subject to the CECOM control point policy. Management will set the pay for this position consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position.
This non-supervisory position is subject to a salary control point equivalent to the GS-13, step 05 base salary, or if the incumbent's salary currently exceeds the GS-13, step 05 level the incumbent's salary may be put on a salary control point at the incumbent's existing salary.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Logistics Modernization Program (LMP); 2) Implementing strategies to improve repair program processes or validating repair program funding; 3) Providing support for supply and maintenance throughout the life cycle for weapons, materiel, or information systems; and 4) Interpreting guidance and reports to explain and defend decisions to stakeholders.
