This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Operations Branch. As a Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Operations Branch, including monitoring the progress of assignments and supervising subordinate level staff.
Duties
As a Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist, you will:
Coordinate and monitor the PSD budget for investigations, adjudications, credit reports, and supplies and monitor the process for reviewing and approving all Electronic Application (eApp) (formerly e-QIP) within the mandated timelines.
Evaluate and approve Statements of Work to determine the contract risk level, coordinate with COR to verify risk designations when required, and monitor the process to ensure appropriate investigations are initiated for all public trust and national security applicants, contractors, and incumbents.
Monitor the review process for derogatory and/or conflicting information from personnel security application documents and Special Agency Checks (SAC) reports and the process for obtaining additional information/documentation from the individual to clarify questionable or discrepant Information.
Develop, review, and update the Operation's Branch policy and procedures in the form of manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the personnel security program.
Monitor and conduct special studies, prepare findings, recommend new policy, procedures and/or changes related to the Personnel Security Program, and coordinate other special projects related to the Division.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
Establishing partnerships and communication regarding personnel security investigations; AND
Reviewing reports of investigations for accuracy and completeness; AND
Providing technical advice and assistance concerning security clearance and investigative procedures and requirements regarding the status of personnel security investigations.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
