This GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST is located in the Operations Compliance Function, Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), Mission Support Group, at an ANG Aviation Wing and is part of the CA 147 CBCS.
Duties
THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION.
The primary purpose of the GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, GS-2001-9, is to provide centralized oversight of critical squadron programs. Measures LRS processes through inventory analysis, surveillance, trends and standards, develops and writes local policy/procedures and performs over the shoulder inspections. Also responsible for all funds management functions including satellite stock fund management in support of unit mission.
Qualifications
GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, GS-2001-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience researching documents or other resources to coordinate inventory requirements; Knowledge of stock levels, inventory, shipping, receiving, requisitioning and requirements of supplies and equipment; Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment; Knowledge of supply management, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc; Experience with cost estimates, budgets, or funding management; Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities.

Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
