You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will implement supply chain management solutions that support material readiness requirements. You will be responsible for oversight of financial management processes and maintaining auditability and accountability of supply chain management functions. You will monitor inventory to prepare reports using supply database programs. You will advise organizational leadership in the development of solutions for confronting irregular challenges.

  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing and applying knowledge of DON and DoD supply and distribution program systems and processes within laws, regulations, policies, and practices; 2) Making decisions and recommendations on the diverse Supply Chain Management environment, including the ability to develop and implement new solutions to environments; 3) Planning, funding and managing information systems, and applying knowledge of the organization and functions of activities involved in providing Supply Chain Management support; 4) Utilization of Government Purchase Card procurement method for purchases following established rules, regulations, and thresholds; and 5) Determining and applying financial management and budget policies, processes and procedures.
