About the Position: Serves as the Administrative and Operations Support Assistant to the Directorate of Training (DOT) Headquarters lead by a Colonel and Civilian Deputy, GS-14. Incumbent performs a wide variety of administrative and operations duties.
Duties
Provide administrative service support to the Director and staff within the organization.
Maintain appointment calendar for the Director.
Input request for personnel actions upon request.
Maintain time and attendance cards for employees.
Coordinate travel arrangements for personnel.
Establish and update automated databases for tracking actions to include suspense files for leaves and civilian evaluations.
Produce a variety of narrative and tabular materials including correspondence, reports, and slide presentations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience requirement: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) utilizing office automation electronic systems to manage information and data; 2) preparing and formalizing reports, records, correspondences, and other requested documents; AND 3) providing administrative support/assistance to personnel on temporary duty travel, time/attendance reporting, and/or report preparations as needed. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OR
Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as Business Management, Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies, Logistics, Communications, or Public Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
