Duties
As an Administrative Support Assistant (OA) you will serve as the division central point for all administrative matters. Your duties may include but not limited to:
Use office automation tools to produce reports.
Serve as the division's timekeeper.
Serve as the division's government purchase card holder.
Manage, coordinate, plan and schedule the office automation training requirements for the division.
Monitor and assist with training associated with the automated Defense Travel System.
Develop and produce daily, weekly, and monthly calendars.
Support the division in training status notifications and aid individuals in updating the training tracker.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must be a qualified typist.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves all aspects of administrative management functions such as scheduling and coordinating meetings, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintaining calendar, arranging for conferences and meetings, and gathering data for reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
