About the Position: The is a Permanent position with US Army Combined Arms Center, Mission Command Center of Excellence, Force Modernization Proponent Center at Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Duties
Arrange travel for the organization's leadership to include preparing travel orders, making transportation/hotel/car rental reservations, preparing itineraries, and submitting travel vouchers for payment.
Maintain proponent personnel files, proponent rating scheme, and ensures all evaluations are submitted in on time.
Provide guidance and recommendation to leadership on clerical and administrative policies and procedures.
Serve as an Action Officer in preparing, replies for general correspondence and specific correspondence as directed to include internal and external briefing.
Serve as Operations Assistant for the Force Modernization Proponent Center (FMPC).
Arrange conferences, meetings, and events to include location, space, time, staffing requirements, agenda, and background material.
Maintain Government Purchase Card.
Prepare periodic or non-recurring statistical, graphic, and narrative reports of program activities by extracting relevant data from office records and files.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. Maintaining accurate personnel files such as time and attendance evaluations, etc, 2. Arranging travel for staff such as transportation, car rental, hotel reservations, and travel orders, 3. Arranging conferences, meetings, and/or events, 3. Reviewing correspondences for errors such as grammar and format. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Business, Business Administration, and Operations Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
Education
