Duties

You will serve as a Senior Cyber Security Specialist. You will lead a team of Cyber Security functional specialists, collaborate with varying stakeholders to identify/integrate Cyber Security principals and methods into all aspects of the target system development lifecycle. You will serve as an expert in the fields of Information Assurance Management, Certification and Accreditation, and Computer Network Defense (CND).

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current DOD 8140 or equivalent certification.

• This is a Cyber Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain qualifications in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program for work role ISSM 722 proficiency level intermediate within 9 months of appointment.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifies Cyber Security methods/techniques optimally suited to the supported program and leads efforts to integrate them into all aspects of operations; 2) Leads efforts to ensure the compliance with governing Cyber Security policies/procedures/documentation requirements (e.g., Clinger-Cohen Act), and the security/integrity of IT/IM systems; 3) Applies expert knowledge of governing A&A regulatory and policy directives to ensure appropriate security analyses, standards, and measures are integrated into IT procurement plans and processes; and 4) Leads the analysis/implementation of IAVM actions (e.g., IAVAs, IAVBs), issued as "security patches" to counter suspected or anticipated intrusions into networks.
