Duties
The major duties described below reflect the full performance level of this position:
Serves as the day-to-day administrative leader and action officer for the DFAS Corporate Budget Office.
Analyzes large amounts of data (input and output) and synthesizes understandable recommendations to leadership.
Recommends actions to resolve existing problems, prevent potential problems, and/or affect new or revised internal controls.
Handles administrative actions such as calendar management, special projects, logistics, and ad-hoc oversight of team needs.

Qualifications
This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense via delegated authority by the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Applicants MUST have related financial experience AND/OR a related financial degree (examples include: Finance, Accounting, Management, Actuarial Science, or related), in addition to meeting Office of Personnel Management (OPM) minimum qualification requirements. Substitution of combination of education and experience must still, in conjunction, minimally satisfy the DHA qualification requirement.

To be hired at the GS-12 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service Handling administrative actions such as managing a calendar and other special projects; recommend improvements to financial program operations; and providing substantial financial management knowledge to leadership in order to assist with the organization's core mission. Experience in documenting and recommending financial improvements.
