ORGANIZATIONAL LOCATION: This Administrative Support Assistant (OA) position's are located at the Colorado River Service Unit (CRSU). Parker Indian Hospital (PIH), Division of Nursing Services. These position's primary responsibilities are to provide support services for the Nursing Division performing a wide variety of administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the work performed within the organization. Position is supervised thru Chief Nurse Executive .
Duties
Major Duties:
Incumbent greets all visitors to the facility and answers all incoming calls, transferring to appropriate department and providing phone coverage for other departments.
Incumbent receives, routes, or otherwise handles incoming and outgoing materials such as controlled or routine correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication.
Performs office automation duties to prepare documents such as correspondence, forms, and reports which can include technical material, graphs and charts.
Performs time keeping duties for the Nursing services division.
Manages the appointment and meeting schedule for the Director of the organizational unit served, and those of other senior staff members as directed.
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
GS-0303-06:
(1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Performing technical administrative tasks in the areas of correspondence management, office automation, data collection, and tracking information and timekeeping; managing calendars and meeting schedules for higher level staff; serving as point of contact for an organizational unit; and performing specialized office tasks in support of a unit.
GS-0303-07:
(1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Advanced knowledge of two or more administrative processes such as scheduling for upper management using electronic calendars; respond to complaints from the public; compile information from a variety of sources to prepare reports; prepare and submit supply requisitions according to established rules.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
