Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY - Serving as a senior advisor to the Director, performing complex administrative and technical duties auxiliary to the work of the Director and organization. Participating with the Directors and Executive staff in decisions affecting the total management operation for the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP). Advising the Director in the coordination of the budget, fiscal, personnel, and other management functions of the Center. - Acting as the Center lead on special projects characterized by relatively complex or ambiguous subject-matter content. Using qualitative and quantitative techniques in the research and development of speeches, management of administrative workflow, assigning and coordinating tasks to achieve administrative objectives, and charting productivity and task assignments made by the Director and Deputy Director. - Serving as liaison and coordinating the preparation of behavioral health program documents, proposals, and reports for the Director on policy and program matters that are either cross- organizational responsibilities or do not fall within the functional province of any one Center component. Developing staff papers for use by the Director in meetings with others to ensure that good working relationships are maintained. - Advising Director, CSAP and Deputy Director on major issues that affect Center productivity. Leading, conducting, or participating in these or other complex management studies and projects, particularly those with wide or significant effect upon the Center's organizational structure, policy, processes, operations, fiscal control and economy.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: One-year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Providing advice on policy and program matters relating to one or more behavioral health programs. Developing administrative regulations and guidelines for measuring program accomplishments. Applying qualitative and/or quantitative methods to issues related to administrative program functions.
