About the Position: Serve as the Military Personnel Specialist for the Department of the Army Inspector General (DAIG). Performs a full range of services in support of command leaders and military personnel assigned to the DAIG. Applies a comprehensive knowledge of military administration regulations, policies, and procedures to complete assignments relative to military officer personnel evaluations, promotions, awards and professional development.

Duties

Serve as the Military Personnel Specialist for the Department of the Army Inspector General (DAIG). Perform a full range of services in support of command leaders and military personnel assigned to the DAIG. Advise and provides staff leadership technical guidance for specialized military personnel management and military personnel research work. Apply a comprehensive knowledge of military administration regulations, to complete assignments relative to military officer personnel evaluations, promotions, awards and career and/or professional development. Exercise a high degree of judgment, discretion and initiative in the accomplishment of assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
