You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER in the SURVEILLANCE RADAR DIVISION, SENSORS WEAPONS AND LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HEUNEME DIVISION. Salary Ranges per Location: Port Hueneme, CA: $101,121 - $184,725 Virginia Beach, VA: $88,183 - $161,090

Duties

You will serve as the AN/SPY-6 Family of Radars Technical Project Manager within the Sensors Weapons and Launchers Department, managing tasking and funding for the program. You will provide technical expertise and leadership for AN/SPY-6 tasking assigned to Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division. You will plan, direct, implement, and execute technical programs, policies, and management actions relative to the design, test, development, acquisition and in-service engineering of the Radar program. You will identify, plan, and negotiate tasking required for establishing and maintaining AN/SPY-6 Radar In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) Technical Capacity. You will provide senior level systems expertise and leadership during the execution of tasks, including the monitoring of quality product deliverables, and making decisions on technical and fiscal issues. You will provide project management such as technical review coordination, financial planning, and development of Task Planning Sheets and Statements of Work.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing technical projects and in-service engineering operations to evaluate customer and resource requirements and develop plans and tasks for a radar systems program.
