For the Redstone Arsenal, AL Location: $90,431 to $139,798 (includes 21.48% locality)
For the Schriever AFB, CO Location: $89,128 to $137,784 (includes 19.73% locality)

Duties
This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for manages small IT projects or a portion of large and complex projects and develops information management requirements.
This is a Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
As an IT Specialist (Customer Support) at the NH-2210-3 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include:
This position supports the Office of the CIO. Review, develop and update IT Service Agreements for the Office of the CIO.
Routinely reviews responses from functional managers to external taskings to ensure met the primary intent of the tasking, and check for clarity and proper grammar.
Reviews internal processes, recommends improvements, and takes action to implement improvements and automation for efficiencies.
Make procurement decisions for Government Purchase Card requests, and ensure adherence to controls.
Review and edit customer outreach materials for technical and business functional areas to ensure clarity and accuracy before release.
Advises, reports findings, and recommend remedial and preventative actions to the supervisor/senior specialists.
Prepares and presents executive IT informational and decision briefings.
Provides advice, assistance and information on matters relating to information management requirements and IT project management and problem areas. Provides input on overall IT services and strategy.

- This is an acquisition position coded Practitioner in Engineering and Technical Management. Incumbent must obtain mandatory Back-to-Basics (BtB) certification within 60 months of entry into position.
- Must acquire 80 Continuous Learning Points every 24 months.
- This is a drug testing designated position.
- This position may be eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management
Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-03 broadband level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below.
Analyzing facts and data and providing recommended solutions to complex IT service or capability problems. OR
Developing or editing customer outreach materials (e-mail notifications, guides, instructions) to ease the acceptance of new or changed IT services and capabilities. OR
Developing and presenting executive level briefings on a wide array of IT service and capability topics.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
