This position is located in Management Directorate, Office of Security & Integrity, Personnel Security Branch.
As an Management and Program Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and creating Division wide process improvement and efficiency strategies through the review and analysis of our personnel security databases.
Duties
Independently review and analyze personnel security data for the qualitative accuracy of security related determinations and relative case data to identity and define problem areas resulting in recommendations for operating process changes.
Analyze security processing related data and report on statistical findings and trends for forecasting financial and Divisional performance metrics. Identify process improvement strategies as a result of the analytics.
Apply a wide range of analytical skills, concepts, and methodologies to develop co9mprehensive test practices, executive level graphical representations of workload, and professional white papers and other written correspondence.
Prepare and assist with a wide range of projects and comprehensive studies of existing processes seeking efficiencies to enhance operational effectiveness.
Interpret personnel security suitability factors and adjudicative guidelines when making recommendations for quality improvements.
Serve as subject matter expert guiding working groups and leadership on qualitative ramifications of changes in personnel security guidance, updates, and policy directives received from DHS and other federal agencies.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 01/25/2024.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 01/25/2024.
GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Applying principles, concepts, policies, practices, or methods pertaining to the wide range of analytical skills;
Organizing and summarizing independent or team analytical findings clearly communicating orally and in writing;
Developing analytics producing quality assurance and performance metric reporting.
