Duties
You will provide technical and management expertise in preparing and implementing an integrated program of natural resource management
and conservation.
You will provide technical leadership for environmental effects analyses of large-scale, complex construction projects, training exercises and
other Navy and Marine Corps actions.
You will direct revisions to current and/or long-range natural resource consultation work plans and schedules to meet updated program
requirements and funding changes in compliance with environmental laws.
You will define and evaluate natural resource consultation mitigation requirements in terms of programmatic, implementation, acquisition
strategy, cost estimating, resourcing scheduling and interfacing with the design and construction of projects

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to
travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report,
OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Establishing priorities and leading natural resource team members in the development of methodologies, operating procedures and schedules for accomplishing natural resource consultation program requirements; 2) Developing multi-year and long-range requirements, work responsibilities, and resource requirements in support of consultation programs; 3) Defining and evaluating natural resource consultation mitigation requirements in with the design and construction of projects; and 4) Working with a natural resources working group composed of biologists to coordinate and address natural resource regulatory policy issues.

Education
A. You have a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a related discipline appropriate to this position.
OR
B. You have a combination of education and experience in one of the above majors that includes at least 24 semester hours in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a discipline related to this position plus appropriate experience or additional education. The quality of the combination of education and experience demonstrates that you possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the work of the position and is comparable to that normally acquired through the completion of a full four year course of study with a major as described above
