You will serve as a SENIOR BIOLOGIST in the NATURAL RESOURCES BRANCH OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING DIVISION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL BUSINESS LINE of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC.
Duties
You will establish priorities and leads natural resource team members in the development of methodologies, operating procedures, and schedules for accomplishing natural resource consultation program.
You will provide technical leadership to ensure quality and consistency for products and services produced by the Environmental Business Line.
You will oversee the overall long-range planning, direction, and timely execution related to EV22 natural resource issues for consultation programs.
You will develops internal procedures required to implement the natural resource consultation program and program revision.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to complete 80 hours of continuous learning credits every 24 months.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Establishing priorities and leading natural resource team members in the development of methodologies, operating procedures and schedules for accomplishing natural resource consultation program requirements; 2) Developing multi-year and long-range requirements, work responsibilities, and resource requirements in support of consultation programs; 3) Defining and evaluating natural resource consultation mitigation requirements in with the design and construction of projects; and 4) Working with a natural resources working group composed of biologists to coordinate and address natural resource regulatory policy issues. Education
You have a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a related discipline appropriate to this position.
OR
You have a combination of education and experience in one of the above majors that includes at least 24 semester hours in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a discipline related to this position plus appropriate experience or additional education. The quality of the combination of education and experience demonstrates that you possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the work of the position and is comparable to that normally acquired through the completion of a full four year course of study with a major as described above.
