You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of NAVCONBRIG NWS.

Duties

You will recommend solutions to financial management system problem areas. You will explain financial laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to managers, personnel, or customers. You will create and maintain funding structures within a financial system to support financial requirements. You will maintain accounting documents, transactions, and adjustments as source documentation for audits. You will compile data to prepare accounting and financial system reports. You will analyze program obligations, cost trends, and variances to assess program fiscal performance.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing multiple software programs to accurately create, process, and manage individual funds and valuables accounts. (Data entry) into accounting systems along with creating and maintaining complex MS Excel Spreadsheets.; 2) Maintaining and identifying discrepancies, determine and initiate corrective action to include posting of obligations, accrued costs, and expenditures transactions, and communicate discrepancy actions need to appropriate financial agencies; 3) Perform and accurately review inventory and receipt of valuables, clothing and personal effects upon confinement and ensure accountability and safekeeping. The agency shall also impose upon employees a continuing affirmative duty to disclose and such misconduct. Agency policy states that material omissions regarding such misconduct, or the provision of materially false information, shall be grounds for termination.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
OR
