Duties
You will provide daily security support in a wide range of security functional areas that include information security, physical security, personnel security, communications security, foreign disclosure and general security administration.
You will advise and assure compliance with established security policies and procedures and coordinates command security requirements as required.
You will provide security related training briefs to workforce under area of cognizance.
You will be responsible for reporting to the Command Security Manager security incidents and electronic spillages which include immediate containment actions when required, and the collection of all information required.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For DA-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09/10 grade level or DA-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing work related to the proper protection, handling and marking of controlled unclassified information (CUI) and classified information; 2) Providing security related training briefs to workforce under area of cognizance; 3) Managing and leading other security specialists and assistants from an oversight perspective; and 4) Providing training and guidance, as necessary.
For DA-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or DA-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Briefing high-level leadership, identifying areas of concern, providing viable solutions, and implementing procedures; 2) Creating and administering a security education program, and mentoring and developing team members; 3) Interpreting and applying security concepts, principles and practices to review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems; 4) Leading Information Security programs using appropriate policy and guidance; and 5) Utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access Database programs), and Adobe Acrobat.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
