You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FUTURE OPERATIONS AND REGIONAL PLANNER in the Assistant Chief of Staff G-3/5 of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will develop plans, direct initiatives, monitor execution and function as the lead agent for deliberate planning within MCIWEST-MCB CAMOEN and its installations.
You will develop operational plans, concept plans and orders, directives and statements of policy and doctrine in support of joint and combined operations.
You will facilitate future operations, special projects, and assignments and conduct evaluation to assess the implementation and progress of Regional Plans initiatives.
You will coordinate plans for proposed and approved installation realignments, reductions.closures and facilitate transition from planning to execution.
You will develp plans, future operations, and proposals that best postures the Command to meeoperations and Fleet Marine Force needs and maintains the proper balance of resources and workload to support operational goals.
You will facilitate assessment strategies to ensure the Regional Command is postured to support the Operating Force needs and core capabilities are readily adaptable to the USMC.
You will facilitate Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) and Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), projets and plans for approved DoD/USMC/DoN initiatives to determine impact on MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You are required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing plans, directing initiatives, monitoring execution of future joint and combined operations, coordinating strategic assessments, evaluating and balancing resources to meet operational needs and leading planning teams for an organization.
