Duties

Manages a JVB in support of the Commanding General's (CG) engagement priorities. Plans and synchronizes arrangements for command-sponsored conferences, special events, and community relations related events, including orientation of HQ 1st SFC (A) commanders' conferences. Initiates tasking for personnel support. Ensures procedures are followed IAW AR 37-47 regarding the use of the representation funds of the Secretary of the Army.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing expert technical guidance and direction for the execution of key leader engagements and events. Directing he coordination, integration, and synchronization of various official and social requirements regarding all matters of support for distinguished visitors (DV) to the Command. Ensuring fiscal responsibility is in compliance with regulatory guidance and coordinating all aspects of the event from the planning phase through execution and follow-up. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
