About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation.

Duties

Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as direct labor hour productivity, schedule conformance, performance to promise, budget compliance, cost management and quality defect rates to improve overall production performance. Provide leadership and guidance to subordinate managers and supervisors to achieve the production outcomes expected by the customer. Ensure the directorate is aligned with organization policies for Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost goals. Determine directorate priorities, goals and development of plans for the accomplishment of the workload assigned to the organization. Direct a major production segment of the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) aircraft overhaul and repair maintenance missions funded by Army Working Capital Funds (AWCF) as well as direct funded programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Tier 3 SECRET background investigation. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest. This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Directing and coordinating work operations in an aviation aircraft overhaul and repair maintenance production environment; Establishing timelines, estimating labor resources and monitoring assignments, recommending changes and determining all resource elements needed to meet quality, cost and schedule goals; Monitoring and validating information within the Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) to ensure current program labor, material and overhead costs are within negotiated limits; Determining continuous process improvement such as, finding ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, improving collaboration, efficiency optimization, promote team building, and improve business practices; Defining, measuring and mitigating risks to operations; AND Providing advice and guidance to subordinate supervisors and staff on both work and administrative matters. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
