You will serve as a Production Division Director in the Corpus Christi PWD of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) SE. Duties

You will identify and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant barriers to meeting production goals and objectives. You will advise shop superintendents or supervisors on the specific phases or operations of a project. You will make financial decisions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. You will make recommendations for addressing and correcting deficiencies. You will evaluate mission requirements to make position management determinations. You will Identify and manage training needs for employees and junior level employees to arrange for individual and professional development within the command.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Incumbent to be on call 24/7 7 days a week as situations demand.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Delivers high-quality products and services and is committed to continuous improvement; 2) Develops the competencies of others to perform and contribute to the organization by inspiring and providing a learning environment of ongoing feedback and opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods; 3) Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/effective recommendations; 4) Formulates objectives and priorities and implements plans consistent with long-term interests of the organization that takes into consideration the environment, resources, capabilities, constraints, and organizational goals and values; 5) Makes well-informed, effective, and timely decisions, whether data are limited or vast; or solutions produce unpleasant consequences; perceives the impact and implications of decisions; and 6) Manages the planning, scheduling, execution, control, and resources of the production process in a maintenance activity.
