About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Center. The hours will be Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1986

Qualifications

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 01/16/2024 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience and/or knowledge of shotguns and gun safety. Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to learn rules of skeet shooting, loading target machines and gun cleaning. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. Must be at least 18 years of age and have had no convictions of domestic violence. Any person who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence is not eligible for this position. Candidates selected for this position will be required to certify they have not been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence prior to assuming the duties of this position. False or fraudulent intonation provided by candidates is criminally punishable by fine or imprisonment (Title 18, USC, Sec 100 I) and will result in removal from federal service. Subject to satisfactory completion of National Agency Check. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
