About the Position: The incumbent serves as the advisor to the Director, Division Chiefs, and Staff on administrative matters for the organization.
Duties
Provide a variety of administrative support to the Director, Deputy, Operations Officer and SGM.
Provide recommendations on the most economical methods of achieving administrative goals and objectives.
Coordinate personnel actions with the staff and provides liaison with the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center to resolve related issues and problems.
Serve as supervisor over two GS-05s, and two GS-07s who are involved in: maintaining administrative records, files and suspense’s; and providing office administration support.
Prepare performance ratings and evaluation reports
Acts as liaison between supervisors, Directorate of Civilian Personnel, Directorate of Information Management, and/or Directorate of Plans, Training and Mobilization.
Administer long term training program by informing Division and Branch Chiefs of available programs as they occur and receiving and processing nominations.
Prepares and builds the Directorate TDA and provides guidance and advice in the area of manpower resource utilization.
Develops audit trails, realigns civilian authorizations based on tenure, grade, funded or unfounded positions, pay plans, etc.
Serve as alternate Security Manager who performs duties primarily concerned with automation, information, personnel and intelligence security for the Directorate and other activities as required.
Requirements
- The ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security clearance is required for this position
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Recruitment/Relocation/Retention Incentive may be authorized
- Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Expenses may be authorized
- Defense National Relocation Program will NOT be authorized
- Occupant of the position is limited to the return of former incumbent with statutory return rights under 10 USC Section 1586.
- Term positions may be extended up to a maximum of six years and may be made permanent without further competition.

GS-09 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:Collaborate with managers and personnel specialists to complete human resources related tasks involving recruitment and performance; Maintain accurate personnel data and organizational records; and Provide advisory services to staff on organizational policies and procedures.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-7).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Provide advisory services to management on manpower management, applicable policies and regulations; Audit travel documentation and time cards to ensure accuracy and compliance; Oversee administrative functions, such as personnel, manpower, record keeping, and all training data and information for the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-9).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
