You will serve as a SUPPORT AGREEMENTS SPECIALIST in the BUSINESS PERFORMANCE DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will develop new and revise current support agreements (SA). You will assist in facilitation coordination, preparation, and approvals of SAs. You will assists with the review of all SA submissions. You will draft and prepare reports and discussion papers. You will assist the supervisor in determining methods to eliminate duplication of effort for support agreements. You will revise orders, directives, and procedures for the Support Agreements Program at the local or regional level.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical support developing various support agreements (e.g. Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), Inter- and Intra service Support Agreements (ISA), etc); utilizing hard and electronic libraries to review documents; and providing guidance to protocol processing of support agreements. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative support compiling information for the processing of various support agreements (e.g. Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), Inter- and Intra service Support Agreements (ISA), etc); maintaining files; and preparing reports. Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:

GS-09:
  • Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR
  • Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR
  • Successfully obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled OR
  • Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
GS-07:
  • Successfully completed one full year of graduate level education OR
  • Successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement OR
  • Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
