About the Position: This position is for a Program Analyst position with the US Army Space & Missile Defense Command, ARSTRAT, TECHNICAL CENTER, OFC OF THE DIR, BUSINESS MANAGEMENT OFFICE, located in Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Duties

Serve as Senior Program Analyst for organizations such as; Space/Missile Defense Technical Center with an annual budget of over $600M with efforts supporting U.S. Services, DoD and other Government agencies, and Allied Nations. Perform short/long-range financial analysis and management of assigned organizational programs funded with RDTE and external customer funds. Prepare planning/guidance on financial management to include execution in accordance with Army, and higher headquarters program policies, objectives, and goals.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires you to possess, obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act 2012,
  • Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually,
  • in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required up to 10% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02/GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget AdministrationFinancial AnalysisManages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (DE-02/GS-11).
