Duties

- Serves as Intelligence Training Specialist and exercise integration to ensure intelligence training program development complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. - Represents ACC/A2 and ACC/A23 with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. - Performs technical non-supervisory duties as the Lead Command Intelligence Training Specialist. - Serves as a senior technical authority to enable realistic exercises to support intelligence training requirements. - Performs as training specialist for intelligence readiness issues.

  • An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is highly desirable.
  • Experience as an intelligence analyst supporting the contingency intelligence network (CIN) is desired.

Qualifications

This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments; or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of Air Force Instructional Systems Development (ISD) and other training development principles; knowledge of Air Force systems acquisition processes and intelligence manpower, activities, processes, and procedures related to supporting the execution of command and unit missions, to include knowledge of assigned forces and associated intelligence resources to identify and satisfy intelligence personnel training requirements. 2. Knowledge of general principles concerning adult learning theory and practices. 3. Knowledge of the entire intelligence cycle, including collection, processing, dissemination, and feedback mechanisms, and the specific implementation of each phase of the cycle within each combat unit within the command, between Command Headquarters and Combat units, between Major Air Commands, and between the Command and Joint and National level agencies. 4. Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research and operations planning, collection target analysis, and/or other intelligence related activities. 5. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes; skill in developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and working cooperatively as a member of a team or as a team leader. 6. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or justify a position effectively. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
