The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Intelligence analyst providing technical analysis and analytic support in the acquisition and employment of current and future Air Force capabilities.

Duties
Serves as an Intelligence Analyst supporting acquisition processes and programs. Provides Air Force programs/initiatives with high quality intelligence and intelligence support to identify and minimize cost, schedule, and performance risks as early in the system's life-cycle as possible.
Conducts semi-complex to complex analysis of multi-source intelligence. Interprets and makes analytic judgments on broad-based to and domain/discipline specific intelligence. products, applications, capabilities, and resources in support of acquisition intelligence and intelligence support activities.
Identifies requirements and presents ISR capabilities to variety of acquisition customers. Provides customers intelligence information and analysis derived from ISR assets to support effective development, fielding, employment, sustainment, and improvement of Air Force capabilities.
Serves as a functional expert on specific ISR programs, systems, or issues. Makes recommendations and defends intelligence positions to the program office, directorate and/or center leadership, and other command-level or external customers.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

Qualifications
IThis is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Extensive knowledge of and skill in applying a wide range of general intelligence research and analytic methods, techniques, and practices to difficult and complex work assignments. Knowledgeable of intelligence analysis and production cycle and associated activities. Knowledge of analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources. Demonstrated knowledge of the national IC, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations. Knowledge of the acquisition life-cycle and the role of intelligence in the development of weapon systems, new operational concepts, and innovative techniques, and the intelligence infrastructure needed to provide them. Extensive knowledge of acquisition and intelligence utilized to identify intelligence sensitivities within a program to identify intelligence gaps, perform intelligence supportability analysis and intelligence health assessments, and provided solutions and recommendations as required. Knowledge of and demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and manipulating data in multi-source intelligence information systems and databases to identify intelligence requirements and gaps, and develop new methods, approaches, or procedures for providing intelligence supportability analysis and satisfying customer requirements. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles missions, and inter-relationships of the national, DoD, and USAF IC.
2. Knowledge of acquisition policy and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a weapons system's lifecycle; Acquisition Intelligence analysis mission and strategy; and the roles and responsibilities of MAJCOM's field intelligence offices in support of USAF research laboratories, acquisition program offices, life-cycle management, nuclear, sustainment, and system testing enterprises.
3. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research methods, techniques, practices, and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information to produce detailed intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, identify intelligence deficiencies, and advocate for customer requirements.
4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing intelligence requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of clients.
5. Skill in communicating clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, subordinates, contractors, academia, and other agencies to work out solutions to problems, prepare professional level documents and studies, and decision briefs.
