This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Entrepreneurial Development in Washington, D.C. The Supervisory Financial Specialist is the manager of a division with subordinate staff responsible for all financial management and budget planning activities, financial examinations, and fraud risk management.
Duties
Oversees the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the financial and budget operations and programs in OED, including the major functional areas of budget formulation, budget planning and execution, financial operations, accounting and finance systems evaluation and design, and strategic planning.
Oversees the risk management, and internal control activities related to the programs and operations, as well as program evaluation.
Coordination and Leadership - Oversees operational aspects and coordinate with other offices in the areas of human resources, performance management, Internal controls, administration and budget.
Provides technical and administrative supervision for subordinate staff.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- You may be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: budget planning and execution; AND developing, communicating and implementing internal control procedures and financial oversight program; AND Leading individuals to achieve organizational goals and objectives. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume.
